Download PullBack.
PullBack is in closed testing on Google Play (Android requires 14 days of closed testing before a new app can ship to production). While that clock ticks, you can sideload the same APK directly to your phone and start using PullBack right now.

How to install (3 steps)
- Tap the APK in your Downloads. Your browser may ask "Are you sure?" — yes.
- Allow "Install from this source" when Android prompts. This is the standard sideload warning. You're installing from your own Downloads folder, not a random link.
- Open PullBack. Walk through onboarding. You'll be asked to grant Usage Access and Display over other apps — both required for PullBack to know which app is open and pull you out of it.
What it does (60-second tour)
PullBack auto-closes Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and 5 more apps after a timer you set. Mid-session interrupt — you can open the app, you just can't lose 45 minutes to it. Full pitch on the home page.
Free tier (this beta)
- 2 apps watched at a time (TikTok & Instagram default-on)
- 5 / 10 / 15 / 20-minute timer presets
- Daily "doomscrolls stopped" counter, streak, status-bar countdown
- Master pause toggle in Settings
Pro (V1.1, opt-in via paywall)
- Unlimited apps + custom apps from your full installed list
- Per-app timers (1–720 min) + Pro presets up to 2 hours
- Strict mode — timer can't be turned off mid-session
- Schedules, custom lockout messages, weekly stats — coming through V1.1
Want auto-updates?
Sideloaded APKs don't auto-update. Two options:
- Check this page when you want to update — the download link always points at the latest beta.
- Join the Play closed test — once enabled, you'll get auto-updates from the Play Store, can leave Play reviews, and your install doesn't count as "sideloaded" for any device-management policies. Drop your email and we'll send the invite as soon as the closed test is open.
Trouble?
- "Can't install" / "Parse error" — your phone is on Android < 9.0. PullBack needs Android 9.0 (API 28) or higher.
- Unknown sources warning — expected. The APK is signed with PullBack's release key (same key the Play Store version will be signed with).
- Anything else — use the in-app "Report a bug" or "Request a feature" rows in Settings.
